The Helicopter Company Signs LoI with Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications to Establish Cross-Border Helicopter Service
Riyadh, 18 February 2026 – The Helicopter Company (THC), a PIF company and the Kingdom’s premier commercial helicopter operator, has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain to introduce a helicopter service connecting Bahrain and Dammam in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The agreement was formalized during the launch of Bahrain’s National Aviation Strategy (2026–2027).
The proposed service will establish a new rotary-wing link across the King Fahd Causeway corridor, providing an alternative mode of cross-border transport tailored to business and government travelers operating between the two countries. The initiative marks THC’s first international route beyond Saudi Arabia, representing a strategic milestone in the company’s growth journey.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening regional air connectivity, enabling seamless mobility solutions, and advancing the aviation ecosystem across the Gulf.
