
The Helicopter Company Wins Excellence in Air Ambulance Services Award at Aviation Achievement Awards
Dubai, UAE – 26 February 2025 – The Helicopter Company (THC) a fully owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Kingdom’s premier commercial helicopter operator, has been awarded with the Excellence in Air Ambulance Services Award at the prestigious Aviation Achievement Awards, held at the Ritz Carlton in Dubai on February 26, 2025.
The Aviation Achievement Awards honored outstanding contributions to the aviation industry, recognizing companies that demonstrate excellence in safety, service quality, and innovation.
This recognition highlights THC’s commitment to delivering Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) with the highest safety and quality standards. Since the inception of HEMS, THC has saved 4500 lives as of 2024, demonstrating its effectiveness and dedication to emergency response. THC currently operates 14 HEMS bases with 15 aircraft and has ambitious plans to expand to 30 aircraft by the end of 2026, ensuring broader coverage of comprehensive emergency medical services across Saudi Arabia. THC also aims for a 15-minute response time for various medical scenarios, such as accidents during hiking or road mishaps, further enhancing patient care and emergency response efficiency.
Winning this award reflects THC’s dedication to innovation, operational excellence, and reliability in critical medical transport services. As Saudi Arabia’s leading commercial helicopter operator, THC continues to enhance its service offerings, reinforcing its position as a key player in advanced aviation.
